2000 (Sold 2002) Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 3945 White Gold With Papers And Caseback
What We Love
We love a 3945, and it’s quite uncommon to find one in white gold. The bracelet gives it a completely different feel to the strap-fitted 3940, while keeping the proportions and beautifully balanced dial that make these perpetual calendars so good.
This third series example dates to 2000 (sold 2002) and has been preserved well, with a pristine dial and a long bracelet. We particularly love the striking yellow-orange patina that has developed in the 9 o’clock subdial, giving this example a little extra character. Overall condition is great, and the white gold makes it an easy watch to wear day to day.
Accompanied by its papers, spare solid caseback, Patek booklets, leather wallet and pin pusher.
If you’ve been considering a 3940 but want something a little different, this might be the one for you. It also trades below the equivalent white gold 3940 on a strap, making it an interesting alternative.
What You Should Know
The hallmarks can still be made out on the case side, though they have been polished in the past. The bracelet is long and will fit a wrist up to 18.5cm. There is 1cm of adjustment in the clasp, though any further resizing will require Patek or a jeweller to cut the bracelet.
