What I love — Having previously sold this watch to a valued client here in London, I’m delighted to welcome it back. It is a truly rare double complication and was the thinnest automatic perpetual calendar chronograph of its era. Executed in steel, this example is particularly compelling, with only around 150 pieces believed to have been produced in this metal.
The dial is near flawless, featuring beautifully recessed sub-dials framed by fine metal edges that catch the light superbly. The case-back engravings remain deep and crisp. The watch is fitted to a vintage-esque beads-of-rice bracelet from Bulang & Sons, and its original pin buckle is also included.
Blank paperwork and the instruction manual accompany the watch. I’ve always loved how this piece wears on the wrist, and the steel bracelet takes it to the next level.
What you should know — The case is sharp and just shows light marks from wear/previous straps changes, nothing major at all. Case size 34mm.
