The OG Royal Oak complication, here in the original first-series ‘no lume’ format. These early examples carry real historical significance within the Royal Oak story, while still wearing incredibly well, a pretty perfect combination.
The watch has recently been polished and presents beautifully. The bracelet remains tight with plenty of links for resizing, and importantly retains its original clasp. The dial is a real highlight too, with a fantastic tone that shifts dramatically depending on the angle and light.
Overall, I’d class this as a bit of an oddball and perhaps an overlooked reference, if I can say that, particularly in steel and gold. Just 654 examples were produced, interestingly far fewer than the original 5402. Factor in how few are likely to have survived in this sort of condition, and there’s a lot to like here.

Some bezel screws slightly protrude the bezel. Literally nothing else to report, it’s a belter.
