What We love — The original Royal Oak “Jumbo” (39mm) wears effortlessly thanks to its ultra-thin profile, measuring just over 7mm thick. This particular example stands out on two key fronts, wonderful condition and a beautifully aged dial. The case and bracelet retain sharp, well-defined edges, and the bracelet remains tight, standing proud when placed clasp-down.
The dial has aged evenly and gracefully, with the raised tapisserie taking on a warm light-brown tone that turns golden in direct sunlight. The tritium on both the dial and handset matches perfectly, developing a rich, creamy patina. The dial is signed ‘Swiss Made’ so in my opinion a slightly later service dial, though an undeniably attractive one nonetheless. If aesthetics are high on your priority list, it’s hard to imagine a better-looking example to wear and enjoy, especially at this price point.
What You Should Know — The watch has been serviced by Audemars Piguet at some point, evidenced by the AP signed crown, date wheel, and “Swiss Made” dial. The price reflects this accordingly.
