What We Love

Without doubt the best precious metal 3800 set we've seen come to market. White gold 3800s are rare enough as it is, but to find one this complete and in this sort of condition is something else. We're genuinely excited for the collector who ends up with it.

The bracelet is about as good as they come. Virtually NOS with no noticeable stretch, fully linked and quite simply the best 3800 bracelet we've handled. The Calatrava Cross on the clasp is beautifully crisp, while the case is equally impressive with sharp hallmarks, wonderfully defined edges and a bezel that's retained all of its original character.

The watch is fitted with its correct smooth champagne 'ceramic' dial with factory diamond hour markers. I wasn't prepared for quite how good this dial looked in the metal. The warm champagne tone paired with the white gold case gives the watch an almost two-tone feel and adds a real sense of luxury. Interestingly, the watch came to us fitted with a white ribbed dial, but Patek Philippe was able to source the correct factory diamond dial to return it to its original specification. That ribbed dial is included with the watch, giving the next owner two very different looks to enjoy.

As for the set, it's difficult to ask for more. Everything supplied when new is still here, including the Certificate of Origin, hand tag, booklets, wallet and even the original purchase documentation from the retailer in Taipei, Taiwan. A truly exceptional example that I suspect will be a very long time before we see another to this standard.
