The 14813BC is an incredibly rare 36mm Royal Oak, executed entirely in white gold with a factory diamond-set bezel. Compared with the familiar steel midsize Royal Oaks of this era, examples of the precious-metal 14813 appear remarkably infrequently.
According to information supplied by Audemars Piguet to Phillips, the reference was produced with 12 different dial configurations, with lapis lazuli reportedly the most commonly seen.
This example carries the .11 dial code with a superb matte black dial, a configuration we have only ever seen once. The dial itself is immaculate and against the white gold and diamonds, gives the watch a very clean and striking visual.
Condition is superb. The case is razor sharp, with the hallmarks on the case back remaining incredibly crisp and well defined. The long integrated white-gold bracelet was made by famed bracelet maker Gay Frères and has little to no stretch, another great indication of just how well this example has been preserved.
At 36mm it wears brilliantly, with the integrated bracelet giving it considerably more presence on the wrist. Accompanied by an Audemars Piguet Extract from the Archives.
There are some very light signs of wear, particularly on the high-polish sections, consistent with use for a watch of its age.
