Coming full set is this 80’s perpetual from Blancpain, a compact and thin 34mm perpetual calendar, with a classic design that has truly stood the test of time. I am obsessed with the Blancpain ‘Biver-era’ 80-90’s models and perpetuals calendars are my vice so this ticks all the boxes.
The watch is in fantastic shape, the case is strong and engravings deep, lugs are thick and overall free from any major dings. The case appears to have had a light polish at some point over the last 40 years however done very well.
The dial is near perfect and the somewhat ‘cheeky’ moon-disc adding a ton of character to the dial. The color of the dial is not white, it has a creamy hue although hard to capture in the photos. The watch is fitted to a new strap and comes with the original 18k yellow gold buckle.
The movement was upgraded to a newer caliber during service in 2020, a common ask from Blancpain when servicing the older pieces, all documented in the service receipt provided with the sale.
The set is complete including inner/outer boxset, pusher pin for setting the calendar, original warranty booklet and instruction manual + service documents from 2020. A delightful set and a seriously heavy hitting complication for the cost. Enjoy!
