What I love — An automatic double complication from the Holy Trinity at a fraction of the price of its modern counterparts. The 49005 was Vacheron Constantin’s first serially produced perpetual calendar chronograph, though still made in small numbers (est. 500 pcs in rose). In this example, the rose-gold case brings warmth and a subtle vintage character. The case condition is excellent, with crisp engravings and beautifully preserved lugs. Up close the dial is near-pristine, featuring an attractive light textured surface and a lapis lazuli moon disc. Technically impressive and visually elegant, it’s a watch you’re unlikely to encounter often in the wild.
What you should know — Light wear from use, some minor scratches back of lugs from strap change. VC archive extract has been ordered and will follow the sale. The original rose gold pin buckle is present. 38mm case.
