1990's Vacheron Constantin Perpetual Calendar 43031 Guilloche

Recently placed with a client here in London, the Vacheron Constantin reference 43031, from the later production years when VC introduced the stunning Vieux Panier guilloché dial, two-tone in some light.

This is the first iteration of the dial, featuring the smaller logo and “SWISS” at 6 o’clock. In our view, these are amongst the hardest VCQPs to come by, since starting WBLDN we’ve only had the pleasure of selling two examples, one in platinum and one yellow gold. Oh and let’s not forget that glorious lapis moondisc, a lovely detail indeed!

This variant also benefits from a display caseback, another key differentiating factor from the earlier smooth dial examples.

Huge congrats to the buyer who had been hunting for a while, enjoy S!
