1990 Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 3941 White Gold Full Set
What We Love — A seldom-seen counterpart to the 3940, produced only from 1986 to 1990, the 3941 remains one of Patek Philippe’s most elusive references. Approximately 50 examples are known, and this piece is particularly noteworthy as an 18k white-gold variant—far rarer than the primarily yellow-gold production. Read more about the reference here in our guide.
From the final year of 3941 manufacturing, it features a glossy opaline dial with crisp, pointed serif printing throughout. The dial is exceptionally well preserved, showing a soft warmth that enhances its appeal. The case is equally impressive, retaining sharp lines with deeply struck hallmarks on the case side and behind the lugs.
The signature element of the 3941 is its display back, offered only on this reference until production ceased in 1990. Afterward, the 3940 began to be delivered with both solid and display backs, underscoring just how brief and uncommon the 3941’s run truly was. The ultra-thin micro-rotor movement is beautifully showcased, complete with its original 22k signed rotor and movement numbers that correspond with the accompanying papers.
The watch comes as a full set, including its original pin buckle, documentation, leather folio, pin pusher, and box. This is only the second 3941 we have ever had the pleasure to offer, and we are genuinely thrilled to present it.
