What I love — Rarely encountered in steel, the ‘SWISS only’ diamond dot dial is even more special here as it is confirmed by the original Audemars Piguet paperwork, with “11 brilliant” clearly noted. The case and bracelet remain sharp and well defined, having been correctly polished. The dial is immaculate, with the diamonds displaying excellent fire in natural light.
The bracelet shows no stretch and will comfortably fit up to an 18.5 cm wrist, still retaining the removable link signed “AP” on the inside, a nice detail to see preserved. The boxset is quite valuable in its own right and increasingly difficult to source, yet fully correct for this model and period.
Overall, this is a superb collector’s set and a rare opportunity to acquire a true “box and papers” example with a seldom-seen dial configuration.
The watch previously passed through the Bucherer Certified Pre-Owned programme, where it was serviced and polished.
What you should know — The movement, as with all 4100’s that go through official AP servicing, has the upgraded caliber, they do not service the original caliber. Service crown signed ‘AP’. Couple of very minor hairlines from use.
