What I love — A Pratt and Baumberger creation, the Ref 2 is neo-vintage perfection and a core model from the brands revival. Thought to be made in just 122 examples (yellow gold) making it a relatively rare bird and offering incredible craftsmanship from the intricate dial work, to the handset and the case.
The dial is the highlight for me ft. three distinct guilloché sections, engine turned by Pratt himself. Preserved in fantastic condtion with the day/date apertures balancing the dial perfectly. The case is 38mm, slightly larger than my usual 36mm preference however the extra flat profile, stepped case and short lugs helps it wear a little smaller. The hallmarks between the lugs at 6 o’clock are visible and watch comes with its original 18k yellow gold pin buckle.
What you should know — Powered by the Frédéric Piguet calibre 71 ébauche with a Lemania-developed perpetual calendar. Case shows some typical wear from use under a loupe, mainly around the lugs. Overall a great example!
